Spice Road by Maiya Ibrahim 🌟 Arc Review 🌟

Thank you, Netgalley and Publisher, for this Arc!!

Magic tea, a magic city and a book written so beautifully, it’s, guess what? MAGIC!!Β‘!

Imira is a soldier, a Shield, in her kingdom of Sahir. Her brother has been presumed dead after having gone missing for a year. However, when Imira and her little sister chase their brothers’ horse to a cave one day, they find information and a Djinni that can lead them to their brother across the sands. This would be perfect, but when Imani brings this news and information to the council, she is paired with her arch-rival Taha and his fellow scouts.

I loved the author’s writing style, completely drawing me in and holding my interest from beginning to end. The magic system complimented the story and characters perfectly and seemed flawless. I am so excited that there will be a sequel!

Dark Tides by K8mberly Vale 🌟 Arc Review 🌟

Thank you Netgalley and Publisher for this Arc!

I was so excited to read this sequel to Crossbones and I was not disappointed.

This was a treat and the best part is that the saga will continue! I was thrilled by the ending and can’t wait to see where the author takes this.  This book was full of dreamwraiths, creatures coming through the limbo between worlds and lots of card games and trickery.  This crew together is brilliant and overall, this is a really fun series!

The Dragons Promise by Elizabeth Lim 🌟 ARC Review 🌟

Thank you Netgalley and Publisher for this Arc!

Loved this sequel! I loved stepping into this beautiful world again and experiencing Shiori’s unique magic.

This was a great read that pulled me along effortlessly. There was so much adventure and action that I couldn’t stop turning the pages. And throughout it all, there was an endless supply of love. It had me swooning at Shiori and Takkan’s young love while in my feels at her connection to her brothers and paper bird, Kiki.

I highly recommend this series to fans of ya fantasy!

Belladonna by Adalyn Grace 🌟 ARC Review 🌟

Thank you Netgalley and Publisher for this Arc!!

I loved this book!!! A romantic, murder mystery involving Death as a character! And, not just a character, but a romantic interest!

Signa is 19 years old and has had a mostly unfortunate life. Her mother died when she was a baby and since then she has been passed around between different family members as a foster child. Also, it doesn’t make it any easier for her when wherever she goes someone winds up dying. When she finally reaches a nice home with the Hawthornes a few months before she turns 20 and gains her inheritance, she realizes how special family really is and also grows closer to death and her legacy as well.

I was addicted from the first page of this book to the last. And, I believe there will be more. Not absolutely positive but based on the ending I’m hoping so. Especially because I just want more!! This was so so good. I definitely recommend this!

The Holloway Girls by Susan Crispell!! 🌟 Arc Review 🌟

Thank you Netgalley and Publisher for this Arc!!

Remy is a Holloway girl. And, this comes with a strange sort of responsibility for a girl at age 16. A Holloway girl’s kiss supposedly brings bad luck during her season. However, when it’s Remy’s turn, she discovers that even something as simple as a lucky kiss can turn bad. She kisses her crush and he falls under a spell of bad luck! But, is this really Remy’s fault?

I mostly enjoyed this story. My favorite piece to this tale is Tobin’s character and how Remy seems to grow stronger and more confident by the end of the book. The magic is really low-key and not discussed in great detail but that didn’t take away from this fun, fast-paced read.

🌟Arc Review 🌟 Reclaim the Stars by Zoraida Cordova!

Thank you Netgalley for this incredible read!

Reclaim the Stars features 17 short stories all by different Latin American authors! These stories are scifi/fantasy focusing on the diaspora of the Latin people. I can honestly say that I loved every single story in this collection and I couldn’t pick a favorite if I tried.

What is so spectacular about these stories are the connections found and forged. Whether family or finding a new community that accepts someone as family. Also, these tales are full of universal feelings that define us all… love, friendship and more than anything else, hope!

I cannot recommend this enough and it’s hard for me to see anyone disliking this gorgeous short story collection. Do yourself a favor and grab this book!

Comes out February 15th!
