A Shadow Crown by Melissa Blair ๐ŸŒŸ Arc Review ๐ŸŒŸ

I already knew I was going to love this sequel, and I definitely did! I love this author’s style and the way the main characters are built up. Of course, particularly Keera. And, this book really delves into a lot of Keera’s history and how she is dealing with it.

I loved this focus on Keera and also the continuous world building that is just incredible. This world is especially beautiful and creative in this book. The author has a lot of room to work with very magical details, and it’s really marvelous.

This was one of my most anticipated reads this year, and I’m just so freaking happy with this! (By the way, major cliffhanger!! Can’t wait for book three!)

Bewitched by Laura Thalassa ๐ŸŒŸ Arc Review ๐ŸŒŸ

Wellโ€ฆ add the sequel to my tbr now! I actually have not read the Bargainer series by this author, so I was really excited to pick this one up, and I’m so glad I did. With lots of magic, mystery, and action, I could not put this down!

Selene is a great character to get behind. She has powerful magic. However, every time she uses it, some of her memories disappear. Losing her memories is the main reason she has not gotten into Henbane Coven. However, when they tell her that the possibility of acceptance may rise if she gets a familiar and travels out into the world to have a more “magical experience,” then Selene is on her way!

She plans a trip to the Galapagos, and when her plane is pulled from the sky by a mysterious magic, she saves everyone on board and then finds herself venturing into the surrounding jungle. She finds her familiar and more, but the question isโ€ฆ would some things be better left in the dark?

This has an amazing, colorful magic system and great descriptions of this world while including some very nice romance!

Definitely recommend this!

What the Hex by Jessica Clare ๐ŸŒŸ Arc Review ๐ŸŒŸ

What a splendid book! Grumpy/sunshine, fake dating, enemies to lovers, and the spice! Yes, please!

Penny is a sweet, wonderful character that I instantly fell in love with. Especially because she has a pet squirrel that she loves. Willem is a surly warlock in need of a familiar to help him with casting even though he is not supposed to.

I didn’t read the first book, so there were parts of this that made me feel a little lost, but that’s a me problem. I really loved this. I love how Will and Penny worked together, especially the spice! Overall, this book left me feeling warm and fuzzy!

Divine Rivals by Rebecca Ross ๐ŸŒŸ Arc Review ๐ŸŒŸ

I had no idea how much I would end up loving this! Rebecca Ross has created such an enchanting and passionate story here.ย  (And, the romance is just out of this world!)

Iris Winnow is vying for the role of columnist at the Gazette. She is trying to win this title over her rival, Roman Kitt. (Yes!! Enemies to lovers!! And it is amazing!)

At this time, there is a war being fought between a god and goddess. Men and women are being called to fight for either side, including Iris’s brother, Forest.ย ย  After 6 months of him missing,ย  Iris makes it her goal to find him.ย  After her mother’s sudden death, she signs up to be a war correspondent and makes her way to the war zone.

This story has magical typewriters,ย  stories on the lore of the god and goddess,ย  and seamlessly throughout all of this, the most romantic couple I’ve read about in a while.ย ย

A Witch’s Guide to Fake Dating a Demon by Sarah Hawley ๐ŸŒŸ Arc Review ๐ŸŒŸ

Thank you, Netgalley and Publisher, for this Arc!!

This is a grumpy/sunshine romcom with just the right amount of spice.

Mariel is a powerful witch but struggles to harness her powers. She is amazing with plant magic but is having trouble with all other areas. When she accidentally summons a demon instead of a bag of flour, she is in for a surprise. The demon is quite sexy, but unfortunately, he wants to bargain for her soul.

This is a really fun read! I did think it was a bit predictable, but I still really enjoyed this.

A Restless Truth by Freya Marske ๐ŸŒŸ Arc Review ๐ŸŒŸ

Thank you Netgalley and Publisher for this Arc!

I am in love with love. Loved this Sapphic romance and amazing story and the fantasy! I haven’t read the first book but this was very easy to follow, almost like a stand-alone. I completely enjoyed every minute of this book!

The fantasy is unique with an interesting magic system including magicians, forseers, and mediums (even ghosts!).
The story gave me a very Agatha Christie vibe. A whodunit with a cobbled together group of individuals solving the case and following the trail. What I loved most was the Sapphic romance between two of the characters. It was real, a bit smutty, just enough to make this whole story very rounded out and full. I think the romance along with the humor of some characters is what really made this perfect.

Definitely recommend!

A Broken Blade by Melissa Blair ๐ŸŒŸ ARC Review ๐ŸŒŸ

Thank you Netgalley and Publisher for this Arc!!

I was cautious going into this one because of all the hype on social media but I found this to be absolutely deserving of some hype!

This story has everything. A broody assassin who is drowning her pain in alcohol. She is not as heartless as she seems. Her job may be to kill as the king’s Blade, but she can’t let go of any death she causes. Mix this in with another broody persona, known as the Shadow, who has a price on his head and we have an amazing book ya’ll!!!

There is deception. There is suspence. And, throughout it all, romance!! I highly recommend this to fans of fantasy!

๐ŸŒŸ My Current Reads Update and THOUGHTS ๐ŸŒŸ

Is published Reylo fanfic Real????

YES IT IS!!!

And, it is wondrous!!!

Seriously if you love Reylo fanfic or just Reylo or just Adam Freaking Driver … Just do me a favor and read this and tell me what you think!!!

So, I talked to a few people who did not enjoy the slow burn, did not think it was smutty enough and also, did not love the ongoing miscommunication and misunderstanding.

However, it’s Reylo so I thought it fit and yes, it is GLORIOUS!!! Lol ๐Ÿคฃ

Empire of the Vampire!

This book is outstanding. A great piece of work. I have read the first 400 pages as a sampler Arc but I’m rereading super slow and just taking it all in. I’ll probably be slowly getting through this for another month.

Zodiac Academy: The Awakening

So excited to read this! Just got into the first few chapters yesterday and it’s caught my interest. Looking forward to reading more today!

Steelstriker

I love Marie Lu with all my heart and I do not understand how these beautiful books and amazing story are not more popular! This is the sequel to Skyhunter and it’s great. Basically war and monster like creatures and steel wings … it’s cool.

So basically that’s it! If you have read any of these please message me with spoiler free thoughts!!!

Have a great day! ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’•
