๐ŸŒŸArc Review ๐ŸŒŸ Reclaim the Stars by Zoraida Cordova!

Thank you Netgalley for this incredible read!

Reclaim the Stars features 17 short stories all by different Latin American authors! These stories are scifi/fantasy focusing on the diaspora of the Latin people. I can honestly say that I loved every single story in this collection and I couldn’t pick a favorite if I tried.

What is so spectacular about these stories are the connections found and forged. Whether family or finding a new community that accepts someone as family. Also, these tales are full of universal feelings that define us all… love, friendship and more than anything else, hope!

I cannot recommend this enough and it’s hard for me to see anyone disliking this gorgeous short story collection. Do yourself a favor and grab this book!

Comes out February 15th!

๐ŸŒŸArc Review๐ŸŒŸ These Deadly Games by Diana Urban!!

Thank you Netgalley for this fantastic read!

This is such an intense read.  It had me on the edge of my seat until the last page.  Crys (Crystal) is a gamer and livestreams with friends while they play MortalDusk.  It’s a day before the MortalDusk competition and Crys and her friends,  her team, are preparing and hoping to win! However, Crys receives a strange message from an app she doesn’t remember downloading and this is when the real game begins.

Secrets are revealed slowly through this book and friendships are destroyed.  What I thought I knew, and what my main hypotheses about who this anonymous messenger was, were completely off base.  Get ready for a violent turn of events, an anonymous messenger wreaking havoc by forcing Crys to play a game that effects the real world and a shocking ending!

I loved this book! It was so torturous at times reading about what Crys was going through but the story pulled me along and I couldn’t put it down for a second.

Trigger warnings for violence, death, unsettling events, also mentions mental health like ptsd and paranoia. (It’s a mind trip for sure!)

Pub. Day is the 1st of February!

I am absolutely thrilled to be only one week away from Christmas! I can’t wait to hand out presents, overdose on sugar while watching Elf and of course spend time with family!

I am currently reading a few things that are not exactly Christmas related but I am certainly enjoying:

A snowy thriller!

I am loving this cryptic suspense and mystery in Rock Paper Scissors by Alice Feeney! I have fallen in love with the thriller genre this year and there is no turning back now! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

Lexi Ryan is amazing!! I bow down to her as I read this story full of manipulations and lies… not to mention two absolutely gorgeous Faerie Prince’s!!! And, there is going to be a sequel??? I am so not ready for whatever cliffhanger I’m heading towards!!

Stop! Just stop and write on your calendar for 2022… January 4th is the release date for this very unique and indescribable really, thriller following Molly the Maid during a murder investigation at her high end hotel of employment. I hope to finish this soon to tell you more bc it is incredible!

This is everything I’m reading right now! I am wishing all of you the very best and would love to hear your thoughts on any of these books! Please feel free to message me anytime! Cheers!
