A Court of Frost and Starlight by Sarah J. Maas, A Brief Review

First I would like to say how much I love this title, of Frost and Starlight. This is a sincerely sweet Maas book, an addition to The Court of Thorns and Roses series, that really acts to give us, the avid reader, a chance to relax and simply enjoy the Winter Solstice with the gang in Velaris.

Like I said, this book does give the reader pure enjoyment in this peace time, but, of course, there is foreshadowing of what may be coming. Not only the animosity still held in certain parts of the Fae Realms, particularly the Illyrians and of course Tamlin, but what is left in the human realms. Even a hint at a new darkness that may come, but I won’t say anymore about that.

If you read and loved ACOTAR series, please read this and enjoy… I personally had some peppermint tea with a snuggly and chubby kitty on my lap, but to each their own.

Thanks for reading my review and happy reading!!

A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J. Maas, A Review

Some things I have learned while reading this series: Do not bargain lightly. Always look deeper than first appearances. And, trust your heart.

Feyre is such a dynamic character. She turns into a completely new person by the end of this series. The scared girl who was willing to settle for a life of quiet and safety is no more. She makes her own choices now and she chooses to love her mate unconditionally while still having her own control over her life, her independence.

Wow, this book was a great ending to a great series. I went through every emotion possible by the end of ACOWAR. Maas did not hold back at all. This author can make me feel exactly what the characters are feeling, even if that means I have to pretend my eyes are watering really bad because I’m reading this book around other people. (I swear, y’all, something got in my eye!)

If you haven’t read this series, I say… READ IT NOW!! I am not going into detail about what happened in the books because its better if you find out on your own. All I will say is that it is full to brimming with serious magic and a one of a kind love story that had my heart racing many a time!

Thanks for reading my review and happy reading!

A Court of Mist and Fury by an author that knows how to really get under my skin, Sarah J. Maas… A brief and, more than likely, crappy review

So, okay! Yes… I literally just finished reading this sequel to A Court of Thorns and Roses, and I need to just say what’s on my mind as quickly as possible because I think my brain will explode if I don’t begin the third book in the series immediately.

Wow, this is the longest book in the trilogy and I honestly love it so much more than ACOTAR. I did not realize that what happened during the whole of this book was what I really wanted. I never would have guessed it. But I adored every second, even if I was just squirming in my seat wishing certain things would happen faster.

But… But.. The ending!!! Maas, I have no idea if I can be friends with you because you have a habit of making me believe in wonderful, perfect happy things… Just to rip it all away and set my world on fire so that I have to watch all that I love be destroyed and burn to the ground!!!

But!! Yes, there is a BUT!! All hope is not lost! So, I must be grateful. I’m hurrying, so I’m going to end here by saying that: Sarah J. Maas, I’m expecting some good stuff in this last book, A Court of Wings and Ruin… I have a feeling that once again I will be surprised, dismayed, possibly heartbroken but ultimately satisfied ….

Now I’m going to stay up and read the last book all night. Thanks for reading my review and happy reading!!!
