This is such a great series to get into right now, very powerful and very intriguing. I find that the immersion of magic into the “real world ” scenarios and politics is a pleasant surprise. I didn’t realise how steeped in magic this series was when I began it and I really have come to appreciate it. This book in particular deals with the character Hellene, and the difficulties she faces, the choices she has to make, the thought processes behind those choices and the impact those choices have, particularly right back on her, is so interesting and also, devastating. She is the heart of this book and I cant wait to read more.
