Katniss and Peeta have survived the last Hunger Games only to now face the Quarter Quell and a host of other issues. Katniss has been unaware until now what her trick with the poisonous berries has caused, the revolution that is seething within all of the districts. She has unwittingly become not only the catalyst, the spark lighting this flame, but the leader of this rebellion.
I am enjoying my reread of this series, however, I do not know if it’s me personally or this specific time period or perhaps both, but the content of these books is hitting me much harder than they ever have before. I am finding new meaning and associations that I did not recognize when I initially read these books when they first came out.
