The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, A Review

It has been years and years since I read this series last but I must say, I thoroughly enjoyed it now even though I am much older. There is so much heart in this book, unbearable pain that stems from love, love that is confusing. It is gut wrenching to read about the effect of violence and such immense hardship on these young adults.

Katniss Everdeen is making the best of her life in the Seam of District 12 in Panem. She feels so much love for her family and few friends that makes her instantly endearing although, her love comes with the confusing idea of how to trust fully. She strives to protect her loved ones even when it lands her in The Hunger Games, fighting for her life with her bow and arrow and her ability to show love and, possibly, really be in love.

This book breaks my heart, especially the way it ends. But it is so powerful and I believe it will last through the ages.

Thanks for reading my review and happy reading!!!
