So, I have some opinions that may not be appreciated by everyone. First, I would like to say that I do not think this is a bad book. It’s full of the author’s incredible imagination and it is positively beautiful in some of its descriptions. However, I had a really hard time liking the main character, Kane. He lied very easily, he was not the most genuine… I realise he was under somewhat of a spell but I just couldn’t like him.
The way Ryan La Sala wrote this story, particularly the beginning, left me so confused. But I think that was on purpose, which is really quite intriguing. I was in the exact same state, a state of complete confusion, that Kane was in. Basically, not understanding exactly what is going on, who to trust and why certain things are happening. I feel like the author showed a lot of talent in this aspect, putting me in this state with the main character.
While this was not my favourite book, I cannot by any means say it is a bad book. I think you, whoever you are, should try it and make up your own mind!
Thanks for reading my review and happy reading!!
